Dongfeng Motor recalls 5534 Fengshen AX7 vehicles due to airbag issues

Recently, Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. Passenger Vehicle Company filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Defective Automotive Product Recalls", and decided to recall some Dongfeng Fengshen AX7 models from August 1, 2016.

Recall scope:

The Dongfeng Fengshen AX7 model was produced from April 3, 2015 to September 15, 2015. According to the company's statistics, there are 5534 related models in Chinese Mainland.

Reason for recall:

The vehicles within the scope of this recall may have abnormal operation of the side collision sensor due to manufacturing reasons by the supplier. In extreme cases, there may be situations such as airbag warning light on, airbag self explosion, or failure to detonate when the vehicle reaches the detonation condition, posing a safety hazard.
